I have been looking at random things on this site for about 6 months now. Bicycles, furniture, books, junk, motorcycles… It is the modern classifieds only with pictures. On Wednesday I decided to take the plunge and acctuly use the service for what it is for.
Kristy and I set out after work this past to acquire something that has been missing from our house since we moved. Because we have been missing this key piece of life things have been scattered and a bit chaotic at times. So I located someone (Ben Hill) on Craigslist who was moving (to Idaho) and needed to get rid of his prize posetion. I contacted him and made plans to pick it up. And now we have our personal office grade 2 drawer filing cabinet…and man is it sweet. Ok I know it is a stretch to call a filling cabinet sweet but it brings much joy to my wife’s face to finally get organized. That’s worth $40 bucks and a drive to the beach,(and a stop at Pink Berry, and $25 worth of files) right? Yes it is.
But really this site is cool an easy way to avoid the garage sale dive by wishes. Unlike E-bay you get to meet the person that you are getting buying from (this could be scary) because you get to pick it up. I am taking suggestions for a name for our new find currently I call it Filey
